Q: How much of your experiences are also Abby's?
A: While Abby's characteristics and personality mirror my own, her experiences with serial killers, mafia hitmen and other nefarious types are pure fiction. Knock on wood, thus far I haven't encountered anyone I wouldn't be comfortable meeting in a dark alley.

Q: When did you know you had your gift?
A: I knew for sure in 7th grade. Sitting in Mrs. Thompson's English class, staring at the chalkboard I had my first, "real" vision. Comically, what I saw was the finish of that year's Kentucky Derby! (I was soooo into horses when I was little.) Sure enough, the race ended exactly as I'd seen, causing my father to look at me a lot differently from that point forward!

Q: How many more Abby Cooper books will there be?
A: I am currently under contract with my publisher to complete three more Abby novels, (for a total of six.) My publisher has the right to option a seventh if book sales support it….hint, hint! As far as how many stories I have in my mind for the Abster? I have at least twelve…so spread the word my friends! I would love nothing more than a long, long life for my favorite protagonist!

Q: I've noticed that the next Abby Cooper installment won't be out until September. You've been pushing them out every six months, this time it's nine months. Why are you slowing down?
A: LOL….ah, if you only knew! Folks, each book takes between 200 and 250 hours to write. Add to that the beginning of my new series debuting in February of '07, and you've just soaked up every weekend and spare moment I've got for the next two years! So, I promise, my hand to God here, guys….I am TRULY writing as fast as I can.

Q: What's your new series about?
A: My next series is about a female ghost buster named M.J. Holliday. She was introduced in A Vision Of Murder, and I liked her character so much I wanted to revolve a series around her. Look for her first release in February of '07.

Q: I think I might be psychic, how can I tell if I am, or learn to develop it?
A: The truth is that everyone is psychic, and anyone can learn to develop it. Not everyone is meant to become a professional - trust me. The best web site I've come across for measuring and practicing your psychic ability is a site called GotPsi.org., which is a site devoted to gathering data to measure PSI, (psychic sense) ability. I love the site, and go there every once in a while just to stay sharp - so if you ever see someone with the login name Abby Cooper - you'll know it's me!

Q: How are you able to do a psychic reading over the phone - don't you need to be near me to get your information?
A: Nope! The glorious thing about intuition is that it has nothing to do with time and space. It comes in VERY handy when I'm reading someone in Alaska or Hawaii! Basically, once I have you on the phone, I send my radar out to you, and as long as you and I have that shared connection - i.e. via the phone line - I can tune into your energy. It's way cool - trust me!

Q: Can you do readings via email?
A: No, so sorry, but this isn't a technique I'm comfortable with. When I'm in my "mode" I need the interaction of the conversation to keep me on track, and help me figure out the images I'm seeing in my mind's eye. Using email or instant messenger would be far too slow a process and I'm just not built that way. So, to answer your question, yes, technically speaking I probably could read someone via email - but I won't because I feel the session would be compromised….I'm all about quality, guys.

Q: Do you still do in person readings?
A: Only rarely. I've found that I get more bang for my buck over the phone, and the quality of the reading is exactly the same, so I can read more people in less time which leaves me more time for writing.

Q: Do you have any book signings or appearances planned?
A: I do book signings and appearance rarely - mostly because my schedule is so jam packed that there isn't much wiggle room these days. I'll be sure and post on this site when the next appearance will be.
